As the Memorial Day weekend approaches, take a moment to remember that the freedom that you enjoy daily is provided by the sacrifices made by the Military servicemen and their families.

If you see a current service member, veteran or know of someone who has served but passed away, take a moment out of your busy schedule to remember and say "Thank you for your service"!!

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble. It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.

It is the AMERICAN who salutes the Flag.

It is the VETERAN who serves under that Flag.

So - To all my veteran family, friends, and those I have never even met - Happy Memorial Day and THANK YOU!
