Tech Support Hell

Let's go WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back to when I first started doing helpdesk support for a local ISP (for where I was living at the time).

I finally convinced the owner of the company that we REALLY should upgrade our existing users to Netscape version 3 (we had been distributing version 1 to that point - that should tell you how long ago it was).

Been Too Long...

Well it's been over two weeks since I have had a chance to update this blog, so I decided to take my spare ten minutes and let everyone know I am still alive and well. Be prepared, though, as I have several updates I am preparing...

WELCOME!

Welcome to Not Rocket Science!
It is my theory that there are just some things in life that are NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. Things like:
"Time is measured in a number of ways... However, it's NOT Rocket Science to figure out that storing
a date as 'The number of 100 nanosecond increments that have occured since 1-Jan-1601 to the date in question' should not be one of them!"

Nor should it be Rocket Science to disburse gasoline rounded up to the penny... I want to see what happens when someone pumps exactly 1 gallon of gasoline and tries to get that 1/10 of a penny change!

Things like these are simple little things that should NOT be made into the ROCKET SCIENCE that some folks make them into.
